The Joker's image is what you'd see in the dictionary next to the word insane. Through out the years, the Joker has been diagnosed with multiple forms of mental disorders so we are all unsure what type of mental illness he has per say, maybe he has a little bit of everything since even professionals at Arkham Asylum and other institutes often find symptoms of multiple disorders within him but aren't able to give an exact diagnosis. The joker has a twisted and warped mind , despite his mental disorder and pure insanity The joker also has a genius level intellect. He purely enjoys playing twisted mind games with others and will break them mentally while taking his time to torture them.
He has been able to outsmart masterminds with paranormal ease and is currently in charge of multiple crime gangs, mafias and most of the police. He pulls strings from the background and manipulates people that don't even know he exists. The Joker is also in on international crime circles but none of the other members are aware of his identity. This is how he gets funding for his outrageous and unorthodox schemes, his toys and the apparently unlimited supply of henchmen. All of his tactical genius is well hidden by his insanity.
The joker is a serial killer who commits crimes on a large scale due to rather simple motives. He dislikes how meaningless people make their own lives and craves chaos. The joker has also admitted that if he could, he would remake the world in his own image, he claims he would make a "much better world where people don't serve others,betray and kill each other for little pieces of paper."
Skills and abilities:
•Genius Level intellect: The Joker is able to manipulate, outsmart and breakdown people with ease as well as form brilliant plans.
•Chemical engineer: The Joker used to work as a chemical engineer, he uses his skills and expertise to create all of the deadly toxins he uses during "play time".
•Explosives expert: The Joker Is not only able to make completely original explosives he is also a master at using them.
•Chemical waste effects: When the joker fell into chemical waste He came out with white skin and green hair, as well as slightly above human strength,stamina, enhanced bone density and a paranormal resistance to pain. His resistance to pain is extraordinary since the joker has not only survived things that would kill normal men but has been shown laughing while going through those things.
•Unpredictable combatant: The joker's fighting style is impossible to predict since it is completely random. Despite its random nature he causes a great amount of damage and usually kills, either purposely or by accident.
Equipment:
The Joker carries a large collection of deadly clown themed weapons such as razor sharp playing cards,explosive playing cards etc as well as normal weapons like crowbars,hammers ,pistols and small axes
He also carries chemical weapons like his trademark Joker gas which he is immune to for some reason, smoke bombs that release nerve toxins, smoke bombs that release neuro toxins,normal smoke bombs etc

The red hood died on the day that he fell into toxic chemicals and emerged as the joker. The chemicals worsened his already slightly unstable mental state and also changed him physically. The rest of his history is shrouded in mystery.
